This McMansion home in the SW of Portland was a dated, impractical, and poorly thought out house. Its scale was vast, over 4000 sf before we began, and the design included an addition that was to be a recording and practice studio. We also conceived a full multi-level deck incorporating a dining area, a lounge area with a fire pit, a hot tub, and an outside-in bar. The home was gutted and reconfigured to provide a huge new kitchen, butler’s pantry, and kosher counter space. In the basement, we created a luxury chilled wine room, and hidden queen bed nook. The whole house was treated to an array of modern luxury and custom design elements. The cherry on the cake was a stunning dichroic glass stair handrails. The images speak for themselves.
