Project Waterfront

Ten years ago during the development on Portlands NW waterfront, two side-by-side residential condominium towers were built overlooking the Willamette river. Our clients, a couple looking to downsize from their larger Dunthorpe ranch bought this condominium and tasked us with reimagining the space. It lacked natural light and was long and thin. The project had us replace the cherry wood floor and kitchen cabinetry with soft white stained wide plank flooring and new clean and light cabinetry. The focus was on defining spaces, and maximizing custom elements. We designed and produced stunning built-ins in the master bedroom and living area alongside two dramatic arched sideboards to flank the marble topped dining table. The space uses a bold wall covering with brass accents picked up throughout the home. And a bold contrasting wallpaper in the master bed that is also shared with the custom-fabricated sofa. The home is now a bright well-planned space that has excellent flow, ample storage and a good amount of well-considered drama, ideally suited to the clients wishes.
